Free Business Fraud Class To Be Offered

The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Department will sponsor a free business fraud presentation at the LaPorte County Fair Security and Training Center at the fairgrounds Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m.

The class will address check fraud, embezzlement and forgery for business owners, their employees and customers.

Det. Sgt. Kevin Ulam and Det. Sgt. Roger Bernard will present the class.

Sheriff Jim Arnold encourages all county residents to attend. “Both Sergeant Ulam and Sergeant Bernard are well versed in the prevention and investigation of business fraud,” he said in a press release, “and can assist business owners throughout the county in handling problems that arise in their businesses.”

The class will last about an hour, followed by a question-and-answer period.
