APPOINTMENT OF NATHANIEL ELSHIRE AS DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING AND BUILDING SERVICES

I am pleased to announce that Nathaniel (Nate) Elshire has been appointed Director of Engineering and Building Services. Nate joined us as a Project Manager in the Engineering Department in January 2005 and has carried out an increasingly significant scope of assignments since that time, working under the supervision of Dale Clingerman, PE, Interim Director of Engineering. Dale will continue to serve the city as Consulting Engineer, working collaboratively with Nate.

Nate grew up in La Porte, graduating from La Porte High School in 1995. He has had several years’ experience in various aspects of construction. He attended Indiana State University and is expected to complete his Degree in Building Construction Technology at Purdue University North Central later this year. Following that, he will begin the process of working toward certification as an Engineer in Training.
