LaPorte Hospital Foundation Raises Thousands for Students, Philanthropic Efforts

LAPORTE | The La Porte Hospital Foundation Annual Golf Tournament raised more than $40,00 for student healthcare scholarships and other philanthropic needs.

A full field of 144 golfers and more than 75 volunteers displayed their “swinging” support at the event on June 19 at Briar Leaf Golf Club in La Porte.

The tournament, celebrating its twentieth anniversary, included 18 holes of golf with a cart, player gifts, lunch, hole-in-one prizes, exciting contests, post-tournament celebration, prime-rib dinner, team awards and door prizes. Other events included a silent auction and a special trick shot performance by golf pro and entertainer Peter Longo.
